Highly Recommended:
That you have completed a Level 2 online course, and have at least one year of coaching experience.

Not Required:
Level 1 certification

Clinic benefits:
Level 2 clinics are 7 hours in length (one day).
• Certificate of completion
• Credit toward Level 2 certification (available in 2009)
• Exclusive clinic resource materials, drills and templates
• Instruction from certified trainers, opportunity to discuss coaching topics with a group of other coaches.

How the Level 2 clinics fit within the full Level 2 curriculum: Coaches must complete a Level 2 clinic to complete Level 2 certification. The Level 2 online course is also part of the certification requirements but does not have to be completed prior to the Level 2 clinic.

What coaches will learn:
Level 2 Clinics are TACTICALLY and PRACTICALLY focused. At the Level 2 clinics, coaches will receive detailed instruction and engage in valuable conversation on building the tactical elements of their team based on overarching principles for offense, defense and mid-field/transition. This instruction is geared toward coaching players who have an understanding of the basic skills and objectives of the game.

Coaches will also understand how practice planning fits into overall tactical objectives for their seasons.

What coaches will NOT receive instruction on at the Level 2 clinics: Level 2 SKILL instruction for coaches of players who already have an understanding of basic lacrosse skills is found in the Level 2 online courses and DVD’s. This will not be covered at the clinic. Nutrition, sports psychology, and conditioning are also found in the online course and in tracks 2 and 3 at the National Convention.
