Indian Summer Lacrosse Festival & Chumash Tournament
Friday, September 5th - Honor Game- Medicine Game 6:00 PM- Traditional no pads game. The game is played in honor of someone each year and serves as a healing game. Family members are present at the game and the game is played in the spirit of honored person. Games a typically played up to a preset number of goals. Goals are scored by hitting the post. Once a goal is scored, the scoring player then goes to the sideline and removes a piece of cloth from the cross bar, and presents it to a family member or person on the sideline in 'honor of them'. Play hard and fast! Natural rules of competition.
Saturday, September 6th- Chumash Tournament: Three-on-three games. Each team can have five players. Games are played on a field 50yds x 30 yds with a 1'x 6' net. Games will run all day on three fields north of the front gate to Summer Fest Grounds. Level of play based on Fall 2008 includes: Youth 4-6th grade, youth 7 & 8th grade, high school jv & varsity, and adult(18+).
Games will run from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM in half hour segments(25 minute games). Start times by age level:9:30 AM - High school divisions 12:30 AM - Youth divisions - 5/6th & 7/8th grade 3:30 PM - Adult division. Teams can be established and entered into the tournament($85) or players can sign up as individuals($20)and be placed on a team based on age. Participants will receive free admission to the festival.
Chumash Rules can be found by visiting the Rock-it Pocket website. Registration form is attached below. Please turn in prior to the event. Registration is available at the location half hour prior to the start time.

US LACROSSE Coaching Clinic in Milwaukee

US Lacrosse now offers coaches training online through their website at www.uslacrosse.org. Level I of the Coaches Education Program is geared for youth and high school coaches who have limited or no experience coaching lacrosse, and experienced coaches who have an interest in strengthening their coaching foundation and knowledge base. A full curiculum of four levels is in development. This program is required by MAYLA and WLF for all coaches in the Spring 2009 season.
Training of Coaches is scheduled for Saturday, November 8th from 9:00-4:00 PM in Milkwaukee, WI.
Preregister through US Lacrosse. Cost is $85. The online course is recommended as a prerequisite. It is needed for the Coaches Certification.

The Gobbler-Thanksgiving Indoor Lacrosse Tournament

The Gobbler is an indoor lacrosse tournament that has four divisions: 4-6th grade, 7-8th grade, and high school level and adult. This one-day event will be held at the Brookfield Indoor Soccer Complex on Saturday, November 29th. It will feature teams from Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago. Each team will play three games in their bracket to qualify for the Championship. Teams play indoor/box lacrosse rules-no boarding or cross checking. Five players on the field at one time plus a goalie. Fifteen player maximum roster. Goals are 4x4. Indoor/box goalie gear allowed. Players can sign up as a team or individually and be assigned a team. Teams play twenty-five minute games. Three games per team guaranteed.
Individual registration is $30. See form below. On-site registration is allowed. Tournament t-shirt included. Please arrive an half hour prior to game time to check in. Remember to bring your jersey and mouth guard. Youth Division - Check in at 9:30 AM; games start at 10:00 AM. Finish by 12:30 PM High School Division - Check in at starts at 11:15 AM; Warm up at 12:00 PM. Games start at 12:30 PM and run to 4:00 PM. Adult Division - 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
