WELCOME
Hot4Lax is an organization that promotes the growth of the game of lacrosse at all levels through leagues, camps, clinic's and private lessons in the summer, fall, winter and spring. Our goal is to serve as the "skill development" program for individual player's and team's in the pre-season, in-season and post-season. Equipment Cleaning and Sanitizing by Sani Sport any time!

Sani Sport Machine now on site!
Spring is officially here. Spring season is rolling out. Its time to make sure that all that lacrosse gear is ready for play. Bring in your equipment to Hot4Lax to get the funk out, prolong the life or make it ready to pass along.
If you just want to clean out the hard work you left behind in the pads, bring them to Hot4Lax to be cleaned and sanitized. Drop off equipment at the store.

Do you need to get that gear cleaned and sanitized! Revitalize your gear by getting rid of the stink and fungus.
We use Sani Sport for all our rental gear and Marauder equipment! They have an unique ionization process to remove the bacteria that can grow in your lacrosse equipment creating that pungent smell. This will extend the life of your gear and prevent the break down of your equipment. Plus it prevents Staff infections!

We recommend cleaning the gear semi-annually if not more frequently depending on the amount of play. Drop off your gear and pick it up later that day.

Price is $25 which includes one set of pads, shoes and the carry bag. Cleaning while you wait is $30.

Set up a team cleaning day at the store and use it as a fund raiser.

Other equipment cleaned as well: Hockey, fencing, moto cross and snowmobiling.

Call the store for details at (262) 717-9996.

Rental Equipment through Hot4Lax

The perogative for many parents new to lacrosse is whether to rent or to buy. The Hot4lax rental program allows parents to enroll their children in a program and try the game to see if they like it at a fraction of the cost.
Lacrosse equipment can be rented by players for clinics, camps, league play and by the season. Hot4Lax has a broad array of sizes and styles of lacrosse equipment for boy's and girl's including gloves, arm pads, rib pads, shoulder pads, helmets for boy's and goggles and sticks for girl's..
When equipment is rented, each borrower will be required to provide payment for the rental of the equipment and a security deposit in leau of the equipment not being returned on the due date. The rental equipment will be due at the end of each season rented(fall, winter, spring or summer) unless arrangements have been made to rollover the equipment to the next season. Equipment can be rented for consecutive seasons. A new rental payment is due at the time of renewal.
Since many programs are starting indoor lacrosse earlier in January and February, we are offering an extended rental peiod for January to June. The rate for this period will be less than the two rental period cost and a bit more than 1 1 /2 times the rental of one season.

When do I replace my stick?

Attention all Lacrosse players and parents!
There have been some rule chnges that will be effecting players of all levels this year. Regarding the boys youth and high school game, the biggest rules change equipment wise has been the elimination of the U or V shooting string.
NFHS and US Lacrosse rules effective in spring 2016 require that no stick have any shooting strings below 4" from the top of the head.
This means if your stick has been strung with the shooting strings below 4", they need to be removed and replaced at the appropriate level. Hot4Lax will be glad to assist you.
Bring in the sticks and our stringers will help replace them. If the mesh has been well used, we can restring it for you as well.

When do I replace a head?
We are often asked this question. This really depends on what kind of head you have and what level of player someone is.
If the head has become very soft, pliable and well used, the plastic may have broken down. A lacrosse stick is similar to a tennis racquet. Sometimes the racquet needs to be restrung. When a players size, position and abilities change, you may need to update and change your racquet.

When to change your stick head or shaft?

  • When your ability changes - moving from beginner to intermediate
  • When your position changes or becomes more specialized - move to attack or defense
  • When the stick is cracked, cambered - it is illegal to play with a cracked or broken stick
  • When the head is warped from face offs and a ball will not come out of the pocket - tilt the stick 90 degrees
  • When the stick handle/shaft is bent, cambered, kinked or dented.
  • When a player moves up an age group and needs a stick that needs to be 40-42" long.
  • When the head is like rubber and can be bent backwards with one hand, it becomes a dog toy launcher.
Old sticks and equipment are being accepted at the donation bins at Hot4Lax for new start programs. If you donate a stick or equipment, you can get a free gift.
