Milwaukee Select is a summer & fall lacrosse program that offers coaching through weekly practices and competition in team camps/tournaments. For summer 2012, there will be three or four boy's levels : U19, U17, U15 and U13. There will be one high school girls programs.

Milwaukee Select 2012 Update
There will be three boys teams and one girls teams for the upcoming summer. The age groups will be Boy's U13, U15, U17 & Girl's U19.
Milwaukee Select has been in existence for six years. It was started by Hot4Lax as a means for the boys who participated in programs during the spring to continue playing and practicing through the summer. We started with one team the first year and expanded to two in the second year. Year four, we had enough interest to add a third team at the U15 level and a U19 team of seniors and post graduates. The new Milwaukee Select office is located in the Hot4Lax Lacrosse Center in Waukesha, WI.
Our teams in the past have always been developmental and offering the boy's and girl's the opportunity to play with the best players in the Milwaukee area and against some of the best competition through a variety of tournaments and team camps. Some say this has been the best learning and exposure they have had. This includes lacrosse experience, life lessons and being a solid young man. This has become an extended family/team for many of the players. The boy's will have the opportunity to be seen by college coaches at each of the tournaments.
What are the plans for the coming year?
* Tryouts for the boy's teams will be held at Heritage Christian School on Saturday, May 12th starting at at 2:30 PM.
* Practice fields have been reserved for four days during the summer at Heritage Christian in Brookfield. This is the current home of the Heritage Christian Patriots. We anticipate practices starting on Tuesday, June 5th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Field will be shared with the boys and girls teams on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
* Coaching Staff - Coaches this coming season that have committed include Robin Buckley, Geroge Counes, (U17) Blair Boylan (U15 & U13) and past Milwaukee Select players( Chris Degraff and Taylor Stark) currently playing in college. We have invitations out to other strong coaches. Confirmation is forthcoming. This is a great way to give back, see what college coaches are doing and prepare for the next level.
* Each team will have a team coordinator who will help the coaches in parents with team organization and communication for all events including travel, schedules and on site happenings. U15 team coordinator is Mary DiGiacomo, U17 are Tammie Cutre and Teresa Beauchamp.
* I have been on the coaching staff since the beginning. As the program has grown, I have taken on more of the general management role, stepping in when needed. The coaching staff will be a cohesive unit, sharing ideas and working together. Each coach has a voice. The head coach for each team will be the lead person. Questions can be directed to that person directly or to me.
